Dropped Benefits with Inactive Memberships

Dropped Benefits with Inactive Memberships

We’re thrilled to announce Rhythm’s new ability to drop certifications and committee access associated with expired memberships in one swift, bulk process. If you’re wondering why that’s so great, or what it could mean for you, hang with us for a second.

Normally, removing committee access or certifications is a manual and tedious process.  Someone has to check which memberships have expired, and then individually remove all the associated certifications or committees.

Of course, this won’t happen immediately, meaning there will be a period of time in which a non-member has member benefits - access to certain committee documents or permissions or certifications. On a small scale, this is a minor inconvenience. On a larger scale, it’s a serious issue for your association’s database health and security.

Rhythm supports the ability to drop committee access and certifications when the associated membership becomes inactive in one swift, bulk process.

This new functionality is an especially big deal for associations that offer their members access to multiple committees. Typically, admins need to go through a manual process to remove individuals from committees after their membership becomes inactive. Now, Rhythm customers can set it and forget it, letting the system do the work for them.

For those associations who have certifications that are contingent upon an active membership, we have even more good news. Instead of staff manually removing certifications associated with an inactive memberships, Rhythm takes care of it for you - automatically.

Dropped Benefits with Inactive Memberships in RhythmWhen a task eats up a lot of your time and it can easily be simplified, why doesn’t your AMS offer this functionality?

Rhythm customers don’t have to ask themselves that question anymore.

So, how’d we know to build it? We listened.

“When we hear a product request from one association, it's not uncommon to hear the same exact need from several others. Our team gets excited whenever this happens because we know we have the opportunity to build something that will have a big impact on a lot of people.” - Daryl Edwards, Director of Product at Rhythm Software

In this case, it's automatic expirations - a feature that should save associations hours of manual labor.
