Rhythm Core Values: World-Class Team

WORLD-CLASS TEAM — This blog is part of a series where we do a deep dive into Rhythm’s core values and guiding principles. Our core values are an intentional declaration of what we believe, how we make decisions, and how we move our organization forward with alignment.

“I love working with a team full of people who offer to help before they are asked. Whether it is someone decades into their career or just starting out, everyone is here to back each other up and join together to truly delight our customers.” — Lauren Appel, Sr. Implementation Project Manager

At Rhythm, we’re on a mission to create customer joy—because at the end of the day, we’re in the people business. So, how does hiring a world-class team help us create long-term customer satisfaction?

It can be incredibly jarring for the customer when a team member moves on. Most associations can remember a time when they had a good working relationship with their technology partner because they liked the ambassador to that organization, but then that person left… and their replacement wasn’t as helpful or effective. It’s not an ideal situation for anyone, which is why retention is a crucial part of our hiring plan.

We know that in order to build a world-class team, we need to build a world-class environment to work in. As with anything, we can’t just say it — we have to put structures in place to make it happen. That’s why work-life balance is a priority when you work at Rhythm. Our employees shouldn’t have to choose between being a good mom, dad, husband, or wife and performing well at work. Just like they shouldn’t have to choose between having flexible work options or having fair pay. The motive is clear: at Rhythm, we want our employees to feel like they can stay for 5, 10, or 15 years without sacrificing their professional growth or fulfillment.

With an equitable and fair compensation structure, an emphasis on work/life balance, a diverse team, and endless opportunities to grow — we’re investing in our world-class team for the long haul.

“One of the greatest strengths of having a diverse team is being able to approach a problem from multiple different perspectives and ultimately find the best solution for the customer.” — Andi Ruda, Sr. Software Engineer
